Surrounded by natural grassy dunes, this special project, on a special patch of the Mornington Peninsula, has a very special place in our hearts. Home to a beautiful family, with an equally beautiful design aesthetic, the plan for the garden was simple, create a new garden that effortlessly sat within the natural setting. To do as little as possible, to draw on the natural drawcard; the stunning undulating grassy dunes, the native ti-tree and of course the grasses. With a native planting schedule, of indigenous grasses and native creepers, like those you find in the neighbouring beach dunes, drifts of planting right up to the edges of the house, and highlights of ornamental planting to soften the building edges and frame the view from inside, the plan was deliberately simple. The result; the incredible landscape setting is still, very much, the hero.
